Hello Sweater Weather! It’s been 45 degrees in Dallas for the past couple of days and I have found myself reaching for my sweaters at long last.  From cashmere to wool – there are endless options for sweaters this year. And guess what? The plus size retailers are taking notice of a ton of trends, so we curvy gals have more choices than ever before!

I’m gonna show you a few of my faves! Links to all the sweaters (including the adorable blue cashmere sweater I’m wearing) are below!

  1. Pastel Perfection Burnt orange, mustard yellow, rusty red – those are the colors that come to mind when you think of fall sweaters, right? Totally – but guess what? There’s a new set of hues in town: Pastels. Baby blues, millennial pinks, buttery yellows and gorgeous lilacs are making their way into our favorite knitwear!

2. Animal Print I’ve always considered animal print to be a neutral. Sure, it’s wild – but paired with some neutral basics (think a white collared shirt and some high waisted black trousers) and it’s sleek enough for the office. Cardigans are the easiest way to work this fun print into your normal rotation.

3. Varsity – School’s in session. Well, not really. Even if you’re well past your school days, these super cute preppy sweaters make an amazing “guess who grew up over summer vacation” statement. Look for sexy details, like off the shoulder necklines, or curve hugging fits to update this look. If the sweater is more oversized – tuck it into your favorite suede skirt!
