This is my year for tying up my apartment decorating projects. I have a few more rooms to work on, but most importantly I am going to be refining and defining the look of my office. I want it to be mostly neutral because I do a lot of outfit try-one in my office and I want the apparel to pop against the background. I want the room to be mostly black and white, but I plan on adding in a little bit of color with my art selections. I will be using Desenio to shop for my wall art, posters, prints and frames. And now I wanna walk you through some of the options I’m interested in.
Desenio has a gallery wall tool that allows you to easily curate and size a gallery wall to suit your individual needs. I love the idea of inputting the dimensions and measurements of my office walls and having something perfectly bespoke crafter for my space specifically. I’ll definitely be using this tool to coordinate all the prints I select for the most possible visual impact.
I am inspired to use a mix of black and white photography and illustration to add texture to the room. I love this poster of Marilyn Monroe reading the newspaper.
It brings a chic, classic femininity to the space, and I am inspired by Marilyn’s self created exterior, as well as her deeply motivated and ambitious interior. She is a deeply intriguing person, and this photo communicates what a privately brilliant woman she really was.
Y’all know I am very much into dark academia, spooky chic vibes. I absolutely got so excited when I saw this Van Gogh print:
I love the idea of pairing it alongside the Marilyn photograph for an edgy-fashion-girl energy.
Now, I definitely want a LITTLE bit of color, but not too too much. I am obsessed with this fun, graphic poster. It just adds a little fun and sexy touch to the entire room:
I am so excited to update you on the progress of my office. I can’t wait to show you the final results. If you see any posters, prints, or frames you like from Desenio, please feel free to send them my way!
