OOTD: Plus Size Leather Leggings

Okay, we’ve established that I love easy, lazy girl outfits for fall.  You guys checked out my love of sweater dresses, plaid pants, and now I’m bringing you LEATHER LEGGINGS BABY! Well, leather looking leggings, anyway.

I know that these are not new to a lot of you. Y’all all knew about the magical Spanx leather-look leggings for a minute and didn’t tell me anything about them. HOW DARE YOU! It’s okay though, I found them for myself and I’m loving them.

I recently bought this pair of leather look leggings from Torrid. Unfortunately the specific pair I bought has sold through but Torrid offers slightly different styles that STILL ABSOLUTELY 100000% pull off the look.

Okay so are you ready for the EASIEST outfit you’ve ever put together? I think you are!

Tunic Length sweater  + Leather leggings + boots = VOILA, easy cute outfit for fall!

I really really advocate a tunic length sweater because sometimes these leggings are thin and you can get a full glance of the VPL (visible panty line!) and nobody wants that.

Some of my favorite tunics (shown below) are from Torrid, Nordstrom and Eloquii. But I’m seriously sure you will have no problem finding them wherever plus size clothes are sold.

So why the boots? Well, with that little extra height, and the way you can wear some of the calf/over the knee style with the leggings tucked into the boot – just looks really friggin’ chic.

As the temperatures drop even more, this outfit is prime real estate for layering. You can add coats, scarves, mittens and hats to this outfit without losing the style or integrity of the original look. I also love the way leather leggings look under a cozy sweater dress.

Don’t forget that these babies double as athleisure too! Grab a comfy hoody (I love a black hoodie, monochromatic athleisure looks are SO chic) from one of your fave sports retailers (you know I love Nike), add some sneakers in the same color, and a cute baseball hat. UM HELLO, you’re ready to go on a neighborhood jog or run some quick errands! LOVE LOVE LOVE. ? ?
