6 Plus Size Outfits for Fall
I am feeling both excited and overwhelmed by all the wonderful fall styles emerging right now. Houston knows I’ve been back on my fall bullshit pretty heavily lately (I’ve gone shopping for fall candles twice and it’s still six days until September) but that’s the kind of person I am! I cannot wait to make fall floats (apple cider version of a root beer float), listen to my fall playlist and watch You’ve Got Mail.
I live in Dallas, TX – so even though it will be fall in less than a month, temperatures won’t drop significantly until late October. I always make sure to dress in layers. This way I can keep myself stylish and cool during the day and add a layer or two in the cooler evenings. If you work in a chilly office, some of these plus size fall outfits may work for you already! I work from home – and I mostly purchase cardigans to wear to the movies – I even bring them in the summer.
A lot of these fall styles appear super early in the stores and have a knack for disappearing before the season has truly begun. I suggest doing your shopping early – especially for your staple foundation pieces – and then checking back on your favorite pieces when they go on sale.
Leather + dark florals immediately gives me thoughts of Stevie Nicks. I love the edgy boho vibes of this look. Try to do a fun, smoky eye but follow it with a rosy toned nude lip to keep it chic.
Dress This high-neck, tiered, prairie style dress is perfectly on trend this fall.
Jacket Torrid makes AMAZING moto jackets – and this one won’t break the bank.
Bag I’m an absolute sucker for anything with fringe.
Hat Love the rocker touch this hat brings.
Boots This brand of boots and bags is one of my favorites. Love updating every season!
Lipstick I love everything about NARS fabulous lipsticks. Some of my faves in my collection
Eyeshadow Quad Charlotte Tilbury knows how to make luxury makeup. You’ll feel the difference.
Animal print midi skirts were huge this summer. Bring this look into fall with a dark burgundy cardigan and a saturated red lip (Ruby Woo from MAC). The low-heeled pumps are easy to walk in so keep this look in mind for an afternoon of shopping or a night on the town.
Skirt Animal print is still in! Go against the grain and opt for a fabulous zebra print
Cardigan This oxblood colored cardigan is SO stunningly saturated.
Bodysuit Being plus size and wearing body suits seemed like an odd combo to me, BUT I tried it and now I’m hooked!
Nude Heel Pointed toes elongate the legs!
Bag There’s something so relaxed and just cool about mini backpacks.
Pearl Clips The trend is still going! Jump on board! Such an easy accessory to kick up any outfit.
Lipstick Ruby Woo is an essential, classic red. Grab yours already!
This fall outfit is a copy of one of my own looks. I know it’s a popular combination so I thought I’d make an easy to shop one! I love this outfit SO much. I believe its classic yet trendy and fresh all at the same time. And that blazer can work with SO many looks!
Blazer When I last visited Madewell, every single girl in the shop was wearing this blazer. It looks amazing over a graphic tee and a slip dress.
Denim I’ve been singing the praises of wide leg cropped denim for awhile and I still love it. These are my everyday essentials and I recommend them to everyone!
T-shirt A basic white tee – but this one has some great lasting power!
Mules This pop of cherry tomato red adds a fab pop of color.
Bag A girl can dream right? Love how well the color palette suits the rest of the outfit.
Necklace Really digging these gold choker styles lately.
Earrings You know what they say… the bigger the hoop … the cuter the outfit.
This is probably my favorite outfit of the bunch. If you’re anything like me, fall is synonymous with cozy. I also love doing my errands in chic athleisure. This outfit covers so many bases. It’s great for hanging around the house, walking around the mall, going to the movies and hanging with the gals. I’m also reaaaaallly into silver jewelry right now. I feel like gold is the trend but I am feeling the silver vibes. Don’t be surprised if you see a future outfit post of me wearing this exact look!
Leather Look Leggings These are essential leggings. They look fabulous on and go with every single outfit ever. Heck, I find myself planning outfits to wear around these leggings. The people at Spanx are geniuses.
Oversized Burgundy Sweater I am looking into alternative fall tones this year. Burgundy, mauve, dusty rose – I want to live in shades of red this fall!
Sneakers These black-on-black sneakers are sleek and sporty. I’m seriously getting so hype on this entire outfit as I write about each item, haha!
Silver Necklace Love the layers here, this adds and edgy and chic touch to the outfit. Wearing accessories with cozy/comfy clothes definitely makes them worthy of wearing in public.
Sunglasses Endlessly chic. Classic.
Bag I’ve been lusting after this YSL bag for quite sometime . I love how roomy it is and how perfectly it works with casual everyday outfits like this one.
Press On Nails Hello! It’s me – the latest girl to the game! I am OBSESSED with press on nails. They’re far less expensive than getting a manicure and I can feel put together in a flash! No more feeling self-conscious in between trips to the salon.
You know I keep saying that I want all of these outfits? Yeah, this one I reaaaaally want. I must have it. I can’t wait to go on dates in this look. BTW these perfume I’ve included has a TO-DIE-FOR scent that I own in several different forms (love the body wash if you fall for the perfume). This dress is also a great transition piece – it’s still 90+ degrees in Dallas and I don’t expect temperatures to drop until November. SOOO I’ll be wearing this dress sexy-style shoulders out for a minute and LOVING it!
Dress This is like the date night central. This would also look amazing with a cognac colored leather jacket. Obsessed.
Sweater Cream colored cardigans will never go out of style. Bundle up in this for an evening stroll or a night at the movies.
Bag This crossbody style gives me major retro vibes. This is an update on your mom’s coach bag from the 70’s.
Perfume Musky, deep and super sexy. Thank me later.
Booties Remember what I said? Pointed nude shoes elongate those beautiful legs!
Earrings Even though I’m super into silver right now, you can’t argue that gold hoops are a classic standard!
Lipstick If you haven’t tried Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk you don’t know the bounds of pouty lips. This lip cheat makes your lips appear fuller and poutier. Always have a tube of this in my collection.
Feel like heading to the pumpkin patch? Running errands? Putting together a fabulous meal for friends and family? Doing some sight-seeing? This outfit is IT. I am not kidding when I say this, these jeans are SUPER stretchy and extremely comfortable. You’ll want to wear them on your next roadtrip or flight!
Sweater Madewell always has cozy sweaters in fun colors. This one is no exception.
Jeans These are beyond comfortable. Thank me later.
Sneakers A classic style the same color as a pumpkin. DUH.
Hair Scrunchie Put a quick bun on the top of your head, add this scrunchie, look instantly put together!
Bag These bags are all the rage among the kids. But I like it for my old ass! And they come in a ton of different colors!
Tinted moisturizer A personal favorite of mine. Don’t forget the SPF even when the sun isn’t as intense.
Perfume This scent is called “By the Fireside” and it smells exactly like that. I still have my travel size from last Christmas!
I hope you like these plus size fall outfits! Comment and let me know which one is your fave!
Cheers!

Dayummn you are so good at this. Love all these outfits and your fall playlist is perfection.
My daughter is in High School and we are struggling to find her homecoming dance dresses. They’re all in junior sizes! Any advice on where to look? We live in Dallas too.
