What to Buy from the Anthropologie Plus Size Line – Rosey Blair @roseybeeme
Anthropologie debuted plus sizes going up to sizes 3X and 26W in March of this year. Anytime any company expands their size range to include plus-size styles, it’s SO exciting but also totally daunting. We’re all totally pumped about the Anthropologie Plus Size Line….but not all of use are familiar with all the brands that Anthropologie carries. So yeah, we’re definitely excited, I know there’s more than a few of you wondering what to buy from Anthropologie’s plus size line. While I was one of the first youtubers to get in and try the product on and review my first impressions – I waited awhile before I wrote anything here on my blog. Since the initial launch of the first collection, there has been a number of beautiful styles released and I feel totally confident saying Anthropologie did their plus size customers right.
I’m gonna share with you my MUST have plus size Anthropologie items. As a former Anthropologie manager, I can lend a certain amount of expertise. I know what the cult faves are, and I know which of these many desirable pieces has some decent lifetime in your closet. YES, the price-tags are high but these pieces are evergreen in style and construction and worth EVERY PENNY.
Cloth and Stone | Plus Size

Cloth and Stone is a mainstay of the Anthropologie brand. An exclusive line of elegant and everyday basics, these soft casuals are a customer favorite. When I worked for Anthropologie, we would always get a crowd of excited women ready for the newest drop. Watch for white blouses (you’ll have them forever) and ANYTHING chambray. Cloth and Stone is so effortless that you’ll be able to get multi-seasonal wear out of every piece you purchase.
Byron Lars | Plus Size

Va-va-va voom. That’s what instantly comes to mind when I think of ANY woman in a Byron Lars dress. Currently there is only one style featured in plus-sizes, but believe me – this item is worth the price tag. Byron Lars, a designer from San Francisco, really gets the female form. My go-to for a woman in a panic looking for a last-minute event dress- this little number was like Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants good when it came to enhancing a myriad of figures. I cannot think of a single time a woman didn’t LOVE the way she looked in one of these structured yet irresistibly sexy dresses. We would typically sell the highest volume of these beautiful, structured dresses around the holidays – so expect to see more of his work in plus sizes at that time. Anthropologie does amazing things during the holidays IN GENERAL, so it will be amazing to see what the plus size drop is like during those chilly months!
Pilcro and the Letterpress | Plus Size

If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself. Anthropologie made their own line of premium denim Pilcro and the Letterpress keeping their fanatics coming back for more – and yes, the denim is available in the plus size line. Modern cuts, treatments, and washes keep you feeling in-the-moment, while old school care and construction leave you feeling proud of a significant wardrobe investment. Personally? I’d grab a denim jacket. Our staff transformed even the sparkliest of cocktail dresses into whimsical daywear with the added casual layer.
The Sale Room

My favorite thing about Anthropologie is the ability to get high price, high quality items on the EXTREME cheap. Anthropologie has only had plus sizes for less than six months, while they create a new customer base, the seasons will change and we will see a ton of styles head into the sale room. Lucky girl, you already have the scoop. In my day, I’ve salvaged the following incredible Anthro sale room finds:
- $6 beaded maxi dress originally priced well above $200 and in perfect condition
- $8 silk lined, sweetheart neckline romper I recently gifted to a size 6 friend (YES I BUY WELL PRICED ITEMS EVEN IF I DON’T FIT INTO THEM, THEY MAKE AMAZING GIFTS),
- $30 (originally $250) covetable Anthropologie bedding in a summer pattern I’m about to refresh my bedroom with for summer.
If you feel like Anthropologie is out of your budget, WAIT FOR A SALE. The store seasons change faster than the weather does, and the key to Anthro’s boho inspired style is LAYERS BABY.
Anthro routinely does sale-on-sale promotions and this is the time to pounce! Today, as a matter of fact – is an additional 50% off all sale items. And with the modern convenience of Afterpay – you might not even pay more than $10 today for a fabulous $30 dress.

I love the A Plus line but I resent having to shop online or drive 45 minutes to an hour to the nearest store that carries my size.
