Me giving you my best Mad Men promotional poster stare at the Austin ModCloth fit shop

So this week, my boyfriend and I decided to randomly venture down to Austin. Every time I visit Austin, I HAVE to stop by the ModCloth Fit shop. Think about existing in the funky retro world of ModCloth and imagine that concept as a dang place. Yeah. Groovy wallpaper, vintage furniture, a photo opportunity neon sign moment and tons of amazing stylists make this a shopping experience unlike any other. Okay so imagine that groovy pad and now…make it bridal.

YEAH.  In case you didn’t know, ModCloth has the cutest bridal line. Whether you’re a courthouse cutie, eloping in Vegas or keeping it classic in Church, there is a gorgeous, unique wedding option for you. And, most of them are under $500. While I am counting the days until BHLDN  expand sizes as their counterpart Anthropologie has done, I definitely advocate that anyone interested in a retro bridal look on a budget to head to ModCloth.

First of all, it’s a one stop shop. You can grab your shower looks, your rehearsal dinner frock, bachelorette freakum dress, bridesmaid dresses, hangover pajamas, honeymoon dress, honeymoon bathing suit, something blue – etc, all in one spot. Tell the complete story. Make a single order, I love it.

When shopping for bridesmaids – you’re going to be especially pleased because the majority of ModCloth items go from 00-28W. HELL YEAH.

If you’re lucky enough to live near a ModCloth fit shop (locations include Austin, San Francisco, D.C. and NYC) you’re going to have a blast! If you don’t, ModCloth has a fabulous return policy and includes a prepaid shipping label in every box to make exchanges a breeze.

Most brides I’ve encountered have given me the sage advice to not over-stress myself. I definitely think utilizing the resources that ModCloth offers takes a ton of stress out of the apparel shopping process leading up to your big day.

Below I’ve included some of my fave bridal looks – but don’t just stop at the classic white/champagne/cream world. ModCloth’s special occasion dress make even the most alternative of brides (hello, black tulle moments) happy.

And here are some other fun retro bride finds from other retailers!
