Mornings can make or break you. There are tons of successful CEOs, celebs, entrepreneurs that typically cite their morning routine as the secret to their achievements. I’ve done some troubleshooting recently and here are some essential parts of my morning routine.

Make The Bed? – Yeah, I know I totally sound like your mom but making your bed is a small, measurable and achievable? ? goal that you can accomplish right away. It sets your mind up to expect success and anticipate finishing projects. Pretty cool, huh?

Morning Pages? – get rid of those gnarly “I’m not good enough” thoughts right away. Taking out some pen and paper and letting yourself write whatever’s on your mind is not only meditative – it’s cleansing. You’ll find that your mind is clearer when it comes to decision making and creative thought processes. DON’T THANK ME NOW, JUST THANK ME ON YOUR BOOK JACKET.

Make a Killer Cup of Joe? – I run on beans, honey. And believe me, I don’t want to spend valuable designer handbag fund money on coffee-shop sugar-potions when I could make myself a beautiful barista quality cup of coffee at home with my OXO Pour-Over Coffee Maker with Water Tank. Pour-over coffee can be time consuming to maker, but with this pour-over coffee maker, it’s easy and doesn’t take up space on your counter-top.? The OXO Pour-Over Coffee Maker evenly distributes water over the coffee grounds to maximize the taste of your brew so you don’t have to stand there and continuously pour water over the grounds. My personal fave way to take my coffee? Dark roast with coconut milk and some brown coconut sugar. Yum!

Take a Deep Breath? – Meditative walks are my jam lately. I love stepping outside my door (sometimes I bring that coffee with me) and taking in the fresh air. Spend twenty minutes outside in the morning and see how you feel the rest of the day!

Plan the Day?- Making lists of all my daily priorities is the ONLY way I manage to get everything done. When I have the time to sit and really plan out my day, it’s legit incredible how much more easy my tasks seem. Sometimes taking that jumbled mess out of your head and putting it on paper makes the world seem a whole lot simpler.

Ta-ta for now! Try my routine and let me know how your day goes! Is there anything I left out? Let me know!!
